Scanning

Today teacher told us made group.
Teacher taught how to use scanning.
- need to have a question in mind
- decide on a key word or expressions that will signal the needed information
- do not read every word
- need to read fast

Teacher assigned us to scan some information in the text and then write answer quickly.
For the first exercise in my group did for 9 minutes because we not be cautious and be careless. For exercise 2 in my group did for 3 minutes because it have less question and we use scanning strategy.Teacher assigned us to do a lot of exercise and reckon time for each exercise.

I think that some exercise was easy.
I used scanning skills.
I think that scanning is very helpful and makes me find the answer faster.

West meets East continue

This week we learned previous topic that we not finished studied last week. The teacher ordered us to read the passage and fill some word.We had read “The Asianization” of the US last week and we did the exercise this week.

We discussed the questions.
1. The text mentions many celebrities, foods, and products from Asia. Which are you familiar with? Do you like them?
2. What products, celebrities, and foods from other Asian countries do you like?

And teacher made the question.

If you met a foreigner living in your country, what questions would you most want to ask him or her?
This is my questions
-What’s your name?
-Where do your from?
-How long have you been there?
-What kind of Thai food do you like?
-What do you think about Thai culture?

And then teacher let us shared question who sat in front of me. After that we did exercise 2 about Essential skill. Before read the passage teacher let us to predict the answer for 3 questions.

I think that grammar was easy.
But the reading story was difficult because it’s difficult words and complex sentences.
I think this topic was quiet difficult because passage was hard to understand but it easily when I use some strategies.
I think that this lesson makes me see different identity of each country. So I should learn a lot.

Fashion (continue) and West meets East

Today we read the story (Splitting hairs)and answered the questions. Then we started new lesson (West meets East).

I think that completing the sentences with the keyword from the text is easy.

I think the lesson is nothing difficult. But there may be some words that can not be translated. Use a dictionary to help translate.

I use reading strategies is to look at the pictures and reading the
rapid and unpredictable content.


I think that learning this lesson is important for English teacher. So I should learn a lot.

Fashions

Today we studied about fashions. We read the story (Fusion? Confusion) and concluded main idea each paragraph.
Then we did the exercise and described the fashion photo

Hyun-Ah has a long dye hair hair. She is wearing black dress , jeans and black derby. 

I think that the story it easy because I interesting fashion and fashion is daily.
I think that the word about hair style it difficult
So I searched the Internet .

I searched the word meaning on the internet and tried to find main idea again.

I used preview , skimming and I can read quickly.

I think that fashions always changes. So I should have own style. When I go aboard, I should notice dressing of other people. It’s different.

Today’s technology continued

Teacher told to student opinions in your class about technology and write in the board.And then studied in your sheet about Researchers worry as teens grow up online.Then we opinions about Researchers and Teenagers.Next I did exercise in sheet.Teacher told to homework.Then we did the exam.

I think that vocabulary expansion is easy because I study this in writing for communication.

I think that the story and some words are difficult. It’s quite long. So I tried to translate the sentences and guess the word meaning.

I used skimming and preview . I can read quickly.

I think that I should decrease using the computer and mobile phone for chatting and playing games. And I should do anything else more such as do exercise, read book, hang out with friends and spend  time with my family.

Today’s technology

First, my friends told that using the technology and adapt in studying English such as use Instagram and follow the English pages. Then we studied in worksheet and made group to summarize the story “Profcasts”. Then we answered the questions and read next story.

I think the easy this week the exercise it easy.

I think the lesson is not difficult. Vocabulary is not difficult But there may be some that can not be translated. I use a dictionary's help to translate words or article.

I used preview and skimming.

I think the technology is very useful in nowadays. It can help people for studying.

I think the lesson is difficult for me.
I think of words and sentences in the news difficult because It was a word I had never seen before.
I used scanning and guessing word in this time.
I know the word about the news difficult but I am trying to learn and enjoy it.
